An important story is breaking in Texas, USA:
In 1994, two girls, 7 and 9, accused their 20-year-old aunt and her 3 female friends (aged 19-22) of sexual abuse. It was the usual story of the 1990s with orgies and Satanic cults. Think recovered memories and children’s fantasies.
The four women got locked up in prison: The aunt, or “ring-leader”, got 37 years and her friends got 15 years each.
They’re still in prison.
But now one of the “victims”, who is now 25, has spoken out and admitted that the abuse never happened. She will therefore try to get her aunt and the others out of prison:
“Whatever it takes to get them out I’m going to do. I can’t live my life knowing that four women are sleeping in a cage because of me.”
Kudos to her. One can’t blame children making up stories about Satanic cults and sex orgies. It is the surrounding society that is at fault for uncritically believing and probably encouraging the children’s horror stories.
